SEL is for everyone—every student and every adult.
According to the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), Social Emotional Learning is “the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions."
Using CASEL's 5 Core Competencies as a foundation, we partner with school districts, schools, and teams to evaluate current practices, identify areas of desired growth, select relevant data, and develop an action plan to implement SEL and realize its many benefits. Advantages for students include improved academic performance, enhanced emotional regulation, better social skills, increased engagement, and increased prosocial behaviors. Teachers also benefit and experience greater emotional well-being.

During the creation phase, we lay the groundwork for an impactful SEL program. We name what SEL is and what it could be, craft a clear vision, and create a plan to nurture buy-in and ensure the initiative’s success.
Expectation
In the Expectation phase, we identify the actions, behaviors, practices, and resources needed to implement and sustain SEL across your school. This includes choosing the right curriculum, establishing methods to monitor progress, fostering cross-school or cross-team collaboration, and defining clear metrics for evaluation.
